Please, seek out the scattered love.

Let's start a tradition where I don't remember to write something here until right before New Years! Or as some might call it, "doing exactly the bare minimum"! I did say glacially. Unsurprisingly, this year my taste in games continued to tilt even more heavily towards indies, so I wanted to talk about that a lil.
I've found that a lot of what I like about indie games is how they can feel like walking through somebody's unfiltered stream of consciousness. Coziness, horror, mundanity, surreality, dumb shitposts, no piece of art feels more human to me than a random eclectic just portraying whatever shit comes to mind then letting you stroll through it at your own pace. Sometimes that comes out in a raw jumbled heap of ideas and styles like in ENA: Dream BBQ, and sometimes that splatter is put through a razor sharp lens like the immaculate vibes in Skate Story. (My two favorite releases from '25, btw)
On that front, nothing I played this year resonated with me like Moon did. For a PS1 game that never really got its flowers, it's crazy how much creative history snapped into focus for me in almost every interaction. Moon feels like the progenitor to so many scatterbrained games I care about, but its message stays consistant and heartfelt in all the noise. It's one of those pieces of art where the creative ethos is so blindingly cool it's impossible not to be inspired. Easy top tenner.
I also played Stray Children shortly after, and while I still loved the themes and visuals, in general I think it does itself a disservice trying so hard to ape Tony's 'Tale. Still, buy it! And Moon! Onion Games deserve your money! Play more indie games!!!
Alright, I got more plans for this site, but that's all for now. To my friends, thanks for keeping me sane this year. Sometimes shit gets worse, sometimes shit gets better; At the very least, try not to use some ancient kid's birthday to decide how you should feel about it.
Happy New Year! See you someday, somewhere... :)
5 more minutes, please

Happy New Year! I probably should've foreseen how seldom I'd write here considering how little I post to social media, but eh, whatever. I serve no hellish algorithm here, so I'll ride as glacially as I want.
Speaking of, I've slowly been chipping away at some kind of some-thing in Godot. If you've seen my recent Bluesky posts touring Active Worlds' sights, you've seen a bit of the vision. It involves dying virtual pets.
If you've checked in on this site any amount this year, thank you! I have a few funky ideas for fun things to do here, but no promises any of 'em get pulled out of the ether. A broadcast like tofokyo.com's would be fun as hell, though that might end up a bad idea if any of my loftier aspirations ever come true, teehee.
Oh god, it's 11:50. Remember treating New Years as a milestone for your own self worth is optional as fuck, and I wish you the best of luck out there. :)
Website is go!

Welcome to my brand new Webbed Site!
Like many others, the gravitational hell vortex that is social media encouraged me to finally make my own little space where I can compile my work and spill my guts without the attached skinner box. High school taught me to despise working with HTML, but after finally biting the bullet it's turned out to be (((mostly))) surprisingly fun!
Hopefully this blog will include both tiny updates as well as maybe a few short essays? As an aspiring game dev, maybe I'll even throw in some devlogs, who knows.
Anyways, thanks for reading, tune in next time! :)
